My Favorite Pre-Fall Purchases from Amazon

Around this time of year I start to really itch for fall. I CRAVE the cooler weather after living through the mid-90s for 3 months. We’ve been escaping to the mountains every few weekends because of the heat, and every time we get there, I get the fall bug even stronger. I’m writing this from Boone (an NC mountain town where we have a place), and it’s currently 62 degrees and blustery and definitely feels like fall.

While it hasn’t cooled down much in Winston-Salem, I’m mentally and emotionally over summer. And that includes summer clothes. I’ve been scouring the internet for fall pieces (the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale kick-started this), and I’ve started placing some orders.

Most recently, I found a handful of REALLY great Amazon finds. Some are full-on fall (and I won’t get to wear them for another few months), and others are better for this awkward summer-to-fall season we’re about to be in. I’m sharing all of my recent finds with you today. I hope you’re ready for sweaters and fleece and cozy sets, because that’s what you’re getting today!

Oversized Sweatshirt Shorts Lounge Set

I ordered this sweatshirt and shorts set in a red/pink, naturally, but it’s a little too red for me. It’s SO bright. I love the set though, so I’m going to snag a different color. I’ve be drawn to lots of neutrals recently. I’ve really been on the hunt for cozy lounge sets that are still cute since I have a feeling I’ll be living in them this pregnancy. I got this in a size small. The shorts have a tie and elastic waistband, so they are super forgiving.

Chambray Denim Shirt Dress

How fun is this denim shirt dress?! I can’t BELIEVE it’s Amazon. I ordered this for fall because I think it’ll be so cute with sneakers and tall boots. It’s casual, and the wash of the denim has a vintage look. The little gathered sleeves are a cute feminine touch. I have an XS.

Black V-Neck Lounge Set

Here’s another two piece lounge set I’ve been eyeing. I really like the v-neck options (I prefer a v-neck when I’m wearing some of my necklaces), and the wide leg pants. I haven’t ordered yet since I already had a full cart, but I have this saved for later.

Cropped Half Zip Long Sleeve Fleece Pullover

If you’ve ever considered buying the Lululemon Scuba Pullover, this is a really great alternative for a fraction of the price! I love the hot pink (again, naturally), so that’s what I would get. I’ve heard amazing reviews about this pullover. It’s perfect for leggings!

Oversized Turtleneck Sweatshirt

When I saw this grey sweatshirt, I immediately thought it was a perfect alternative to the Isabel Marant sweatshirt that’s almost $400. I love the collar on the designer one, but I was never going to let myself order a $400 sweatshirt. So glad I found this instead! It’s oversized and thick. I have a size small.

Spaghetti Straps Sleeveless Mini Dress

This thin strap spaghetti strap dress feels like the ideal game day dress to me! Since it’s a solid color, you could accessorize with your team’s colors and wear it for any sporting event. You could also easily wear this right now for the end of summer, or pair with boots, booties, a sweater or cardigan on top, etc. for fall. It’s hard to beat a great simple black dress like this. One thing that’s a little bizarre is that the back is a LOT longer than the front but it’s a great affordable option for the end of summer.

Knit Sweater Short Sleeve Set

Similarly to the wide leg pants set above, I kept seeing this jogger style set with short sleeves pop up all the time on my Amazon account, and I finally decided to see if it was cute in person. I really like that the top is short sleeved, so that this can be worn in September when it’s not totally cool yet. It’s super soft and would be so cute on someone else– it just doesn’t feel like me.

1/4 Zipper Collar Pullover

I love a large collar like this 1/4 zipper pullover, especially for athleisure. It pairs so easily with leggings and sneakers, and feels more polished and pulled together than my athletic sweatshirts. I’m on a real brown kick right now, so I got this in a great mauve-y brown color. It’s very oversized, so keep that in mind. I have a size small.

Fuzzy Fleece Jacket

If you’ve ever wanted the Free People Sherpa jacket but didn’t want to spend the money, you’re in luck ;). This sherpa jacket is the perfect “fun” coat for your fall and winter wardrobe. I got this in the off-white beige color since I know I’ll wear it more often, but you could also get a super fun bright color in this since it’s not a huge investment. I do have to note that while it’s SO cute, the fabric feels pretty cheap. It’s not comfortable enough for me to keep, so just know that if you decide to go the affordable route!

Wide Leg Pants Sweater Set

I’ve seen this wide leg pants set on Amazon for probably a year and half now, and I’m so thankful I finally decided to order it! I’m craving all the cozy clothes, especially pants, now that I’m pregnant and will have a bump this fall. When working from home, matching outfits like this wide leg pant set help me feel put together and polished, almost like I have a real outfit on while still feeling SUPER comfy. I have a size small and it fits really well. It’s a perfect weekend set for at the house.

Oversized Sleeve Sweater Dress

You can never have too many sweater dresses. They go with all of the fall shoes, can be dressed up or down, and they’re usually pretty comfortable. This dress has oversized “batwing” sleeves that are slightly too long on me but should work well on someone taller. I’m 5’1″ with a super petite frame for reference. I have a size small, and I’m keeping it, even though the sleeves are long 🙂 since it’s so cozy! It’ll look great with my favorite booties and my new knee-high boots as well.

The Drop Sweatshirt

This brown sweatshirt is such a great cropped option for fall. I have an XS and it fits true to size. The brown is the perfect warm shade!

Squareneck Ribbed Maxi Bodycon Sweater Dress

If I wasn’t 5’1″, this black ribbed maxi dress would be a great option for me, ha! It’s longer than I’d need, but I might have it altered. It’s so stunning!!! I especially love the wide, square neckline. If you’re taller than me, this would be a SUPER stunning dress for lots of events this fall. It also works well as a maternity dress since it’s so stretchy. I have a size small.
