Gift guides for couples are usually matching robes or a wine subscription. I mean, they’re fine, right? But is anyone excited about those? This is the splurge list of gift ideas that make great Christmas gifts for a couple since they’ll both use any of these. You could easily give it as a group gift to your parents or in-laws or if you’re shopping for adult children, these are big gifts.
One of the best gifts Tommy and I ever got was a new Weber gas grill, and the nice thing about grills is that you can get one for a couple hundred dollars or splurge on a big one. But it’s something that we use multiple times a week and we always think of the family that gave it to use. (I also included a smoker if your loved ones are more of the smoking-meat type and a Blackstone since that’s on my personal wishlist.)
And one of the best gifts we’ve given both sets of grandparents is a Skylight digital frame (not bragging here – they’d tell you the same thing). Every single time we talk to one of our parents, they mention a new photo of the grandkids on the frame. And since I have five brothers, they all have access to upload photos.
And the best gift Tommy got me (well, perhaps tied with diamond earrings) is the Jura coffeemaker. We use it every day and it’s truly amazing. Plus, I’ve stopped buying coffee out as often because I much prefer my coffee at home. So it’s really a smart investment.
Some of these gifts are around $150 and are $2000+ so you’re sure to find something that fits your budget if you’re combining gifts for your favorite couple. For the things that can’t be shared (like the Oura or the travel Ember Mug), buy two. If you’re splurging, you’re splurging.
