Mother’s Day means so much more to me now that I’m a mom myself. I mean, I’ve always appreciated Mother’s Day and have loved celebrating my mom and MIL. But now that I know first-hand how big a job being a mother is, it has a different meaning for me. I took what my mom did for granted and have a whole new appreciation of all she sacrificed for her six kids.
I don’t think she even realizes what she did was special, but thanks to her, I have so many fond memories and traditions around holidays. She also taught me how to make bread, and I’m kicking myself that I didn’t have her teach me how to sew and how to plant garden beds properly. Moms are SO amazing, and while I think we could celebrate Mother’s Day more than once a year, I try to make it very special for the moms in my life.
The best Mother’s Day gifts aren’t necessarily the flashiest or the most expensive—they’re the ones that feel personal, thoughtful, and just a little indulgent. Whether you’re shopping for your own mom, your mother-in-law, or a new mom you want to celebrate, these gifts strike that perfect balance between meaningful and stylish. To make things easy, I’ve organized the list by price point so you can find the perfect gift for any budget.
And, if you want to casually text it to your husband to make sure you get a decent gift, tell him I told you to do so. 😉
This luxe Guerlain lip balm is packed with honey and gives just the right wash of color. It feels indulgent in the best way and comes in a gold case that looks just as beautiful as it feels. I have the shade Honey Glow.
Custom silhouette prints of her children are such special gifts. Just send a profile photo of her child and get back a print she’ll treasure forever. Be sure to frame it before gifting (you could send to Framebridge and have them frame it for you!). I’ve used Jessica Beaver in the past for silhouettes of both of my boys, and they’re absolutely perfect. (If you want a splurge-worthy silhouette gift, see #15).
This front-loading frame from Amazon is designed to swap out kids’ masterpieces easily. It’s practical and stylish—perfect for the mom who proudly displays every drawing. I have these in the boys’ bathroom, and my four-year-old loves switching the art out as much as I do. It’s such a nice way to save and display artwork without cluttering your fridge. Here’s a quick video showing how I use ours.
I just tried The Body Stone moisturizer for the first time and loved it. It looks like a soap bar, but it’s actually a solid bar of moisturizer that melts as it comes in contact with your skin. It’s made with great ingredients and the scent is lovely. This would be a great gift for a mom-friend since it’s under $50.
This 11 11 Eau de Parfum is made with clean ingredients and a light scent that’s slightly musky. I’m very sensitive to scents but happen to love this. If she’s into subtle, elevated fragrances that work year-round, she’ll love this one. Use code TERILYN15 for 15% off.
Another scented option that this (very) sensitive girl can still appreciate. I was gifted a Hotel Lobby Candle this winter and fell in love with the brand. All of their scents are sophisticated, and you’ll be able to find something she loves. Their most popular scents are the Signature (which has notes of agarwood and warm spices) and Spa (with notes of aquatic water mint and fresh eucalyptus).
I love the idea of gifting (and receiving) clean beauty products, especially bath-focused (since my skincare routine is pretty dialed in). Choose the set that best fits her vibe – OSEA feels like an ocean-inspired spa retreat, while Primally Pure has a farm-to-skin vibe rooted in simplicity. (I have a full review of Primally Pure here.)
Pro Tip: Before gifting the OSEA set, remove the branded paper sleeve from the outside of the bag and tuck it underneath in the box or gift bag. It makes the unboxing feel more elevated and luxe.
I recently discovered Susan Shaw and have fallen in love with their jewelry (it’s a thoughtful choice for a Christian mom since many of her pieces feature faith-inspired symbols.) Their jewelry is a little bolder than my normal dainty pieces, but it’s still subtle enough to wear every day (which I’ve been doing). This Bamboo Initial Bracelet would be a great Mother’s Day gift with her child’s initial as the charm.
The quality is unbelievable, given the affordable price point. Other favorites I own are these bamboo hoops, this Rectangle ring, these Roma studs, and this Double Link bracelet. (And I have this Maltese cross necklace on my wishlist!)
Mejuri is my go-to for fine (and semi-fine) dainty jewelry. Look for birthstones or initials that represent her kids—she’ll wear it every day. You could also gift this Dahlia Braided Edge Engravable Disc Pendant from Cupcakes and Cashmere (use code TERILYN20 for 20% off) and engrave it with the year she became a mom. (See my necklace here, which I engraved with my birth year. I was going to do the year I became a mom, but I didn’t want a necklace with the year 2020 on it—ha!) See my blog post with everyday jewelry favorites or read my Mejuri review here.
Talk about a great gift hack. You can put floral delivery on subscription from Urban Stems, so fresh bouquets are delivered each month to the mom of your choice! Tommy did this for me last year and it was such a treat each month when the flowers arrived. Urban Stems makes stunning bouquets (not those cheap-looking bouquets you used to see from floral delivery services).
The photos in this digital Skylight frame update instantly via email, so she can keep up with family snapshots without any tech stress. Perfect for long-distance moms or grandparents. I’ve gifted this to my parents in Utah and my in-laws in North Carolina, and without fail, they mention something they saw on it during every single phone call. It’s a hit. (This post has more gift ideas specifically for grandparents if you’re looking for Mother’s Day gift ideas for your grandmother!)
These aren’t just pajamas—they’re the softest loungewear she’ll ever own. Perfect for slow mornings or Netflix nights. LAKE, Eberjay, and Roller Rabbit are all insanely soft (and fit beautifully), so pick whatever style feels most like her. While I own and approve all three brands, I do have a comprehensive review of LAKE pajamas with sizing tips you may find helpful, as well as a post with my favorite loungewear.
A bathrobe from Weezie Towels is a fantastic gift for a mom. They make a few different styles (and I own most of them). If she doesn’t have a spring/summertime robe, I’d do this short-sleeve Signature Robe, which is great for hotter days when she wants a robe while she’s getting ready. You can add her name or monogram too. If you know the mom you’re shopping for would prefer a longer robe, the Spa Robe is unreal. Use code TERILYN15 for 15% off through 5/6!
A self-heating mug that keeps her drink perfectly warm for hours. Ideal for the mom who reheats her coffee five times a day. (This is one of my top gift recommendations for new moms!) I’ve had mine for five years and use it every single day. Pair it with a bag of locally roasted coffee beans and a Geometry towel or two for a gift that feels more complete.
ChappyWrap blankets are a favorite in our house. They’re pretty, durable, and machine-washable. These cozy blankets are perfect for snuggling on the sofa, picnicking, or soccer fields. They work as well inside (so soft) as outside (grass and leaves don’t stick to it). I own four Chappys in three different sizes because I love them so much. Bonus points for embroidering it!
My very favorite piece of jewelry (possibly ever) is my Vana Chupp Silhouette necklace (they make bracelets too). I still need to add Charles’ silhouette to it, but I’m waiting until he’s a little older so that it’s around the same time as the photo they used for Thomas. This is a pricey gift, but it’s a keepsake she’ll keep forever.
Hart Studio has a great “mama” shop on her site with fun gift ideas for moms. I have the Personalized Small Heart MAMA Necklace with a T and C charm for my boys. I also love their Radiant MAMA Bracelet (and you can add charms to that too).
J. Lowery is a southern-based brand that creates beautifully structured, fashion-forward bags that feel elevated and everyday. My favorite (and first J. Lowery bag) is the Mini Bucket Bag which is currently sold out, but I just got the Mini Raffia Tote, and it’s beautiful (and fun!).
Cozy meets chic. These shearling slippers feel like a hug for her feet and the price point lives up to the hype. I was gifted these over three years ago and they’re still in excellent condition and insanely soft. I promise she will love these.
Diamond huggies that go with everything. Dainty, sparkly, and sophisticated—they’re the kind of earrings she’ll never take off. These Diamond Huggies were gifted to me by Ring Concierge, and I couldn’t BELIEVE them when I put them on. Truly stunning.
Vintage-inspired and perfect for organizing her favorites. This L’Héritage Jewelry Case is pretty on a dresser and is travel-ready too. The brand gifted me one, and I was shocked by how much I liked this when it arrived. I keep it in my closet to keep my most-worn jewelry readily accessible. Use code TERILYN20 for 20% off.
No time to wrap or ship? These last-minute gifts still feel thoughtful—and they’re instantly giftable:
I’ve rounded up all the best Amazon finds for every kind of mom here.
Let her pick out something she truly loves—from classic dresses to beautiful home accents. Tuckernuck is my go-to for timeless style.
Pair any of the gifts above with a personal note or homemade card from the kids—it doesn’t have to be fancy to be meaningful.
Sometimes, the best gift is a few uninterrupted hours to nap, read, or wander around Target alone. Bonus points if you pair it with one of the gifts above. Have the kids make her a gift certificate she can cash in for solo time.
