Fall is the best for so many of reasons: cooler running weather, sweaters and booties, fall recipes (pumpkin cookies anyone?), and of course, fun fall decor. I’m really not great at decorating and changing out decor for each season, but I’ve found a few simple items really can make a difference in making our home feel cozy for the season.
I’ve found Target and Crate & Barrel have the cutest fall decor this year. I’m impressed with the Pottery Barn selections, but they’re slightly more expensive! After the horrible experience we had with a few nursery items we’ve ordered from West Elm, I won’t order from there!
A simple thing to switch out for the season are pillows! I’m not a huge fan of pillows with words or slogans, but prefer more muted fall colors and subtle patterns.
Doormats are such a fun way to decorate (and do something just slightly cheesy) since they are only seen from above! Like I said earlier, I’m not a fan of super cheesy decor, but for some reason, doormats feel totally okay to me.
There are some seriously CUTE options this fall. I love the rattan and wicker pumpkins, the tonal colored candles in the shape of pumpkins, and the floral accents. I generally don’t go for faux florals, but when it’s a fall branch, I don’t mind at all.
There are SO many affordable fall blankets this year and many of them are subtle, which I love!
Especially here in the south, it seems like there’s a wreath for every occasion. And I don’t hate it! I’ve already bought two for the house and both will work for September, October and November. Here are some other wreaths I found while browsing that I love! (Can one have too many wreaths?? Probably, but I love them!)
Happy fall shopping!
Here are some fall decor photos from our old house 🙂 Two years ago when we brought Thomas home, we decorated the porch and I LOVED bringing him home and taking photos there. I’ll decorate our porch at our new house later this fall!
