My Favorite Nordstrom Wedding Guest Dresses

As someone who doesn’t go to a lot of weddings these days, I always find it so fun (and flattering!) that people ask me to help them find wedding guest dresses for their upcoming events. I have the best time looking for fun formal dresses and imagining the events I’d wear them to. (I do, however, have a couple dressy cocktail work events at the end of the month where I get to dress up, so I justified buying a few fun dresses!

Today’s roundup is focused on womens wedding guest dresses, specifically from Nordstrom (I still need to add a Nordstrom Rack section). I’m a long-time Nordstrom fan because of their amazing customer service, free shipping and returns, and because they carry many of my all-time favorite brands. I also have another blog post with more wedding guest dress ideas that aren’t only from Nordstrom.

Anna Floral Chiffon Dress

The first dress I wanted to include in this roundup was this floral chiffon dress I ordered during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. The colors are stunning, especially in person, and they work so well for fall. While it’s totally appropriate for a fall wedding, I also love that I can wear it a little more casually for church. I have a size XS and runs true to size or possibly just a tad small. If you’re in-between sizes, I might go up one! It’s still maternity friendly with my 20-week bump. Keep in mind I’m also a petite 5’1″, so the length will be a tad shorter on most of you.

Hutch Amara Floral Bustier Pleated Fit & Flare Dress

There’s not a ton to say about this Amara Floral Bustier dress other than WOW. I love the colors, the fit of the bustier, the pleated skirt, and length. I just wish I had somewhere to wear it! I ordered this to see if it might be a good option for a black tie event I have this fall, but I ended up finding something I liked a bit better, so I am sadly returning it. The fit is definitely true to size if you aren’t pregnant ;). I was still able to zip it while 20 weeks pregnant but I doubt it’d work for much longer, so keep that in mind if you are shopping for maternity-friendly dresses.

Bardot Eva Long Sleeve Organza Minidress

Next up is this stunning Long Sleeve Organza dress by Bardot. There are SO many things I absolutely love about this dress, namely the color. Talk about wow-factor! The length is on the shorter end, so I’d imagine this working best for a wedding that calls for cocktail attire versus something more formal. The fit is true to size, but I will note that it will hang just slightly different on you if you’re not pregnant (see the listing photo).

Bardot makes gorgeous dresses within a very reasonable price range!

Dress the Population Kirsi Metallic Floral Long Sleeve Minidress

Gosh, another gorgeous cocktail option. If you prefer something slightly less flashy than the Bardot option above, but still love the idea of a fun statement, then you will LOVE this Dress The Population Metallic Floral Long Sleeve dress. The sleeves make it such a great fall option, and the muted tones mixed with a bit of shimmer make this the ideal fall cocktail dress. The fit is true to size!

Bardot Nessa Floral Long Sleeve Minidress

After loving the first Bardot dress I found, I had to scour Nordstrom for more. I LOVE this Floral Long Sleeve Minidress by Bardot. The deep pink is a gorgeous fall hue, the billowy long sleeves add a lot of interest, and the length is flirty and feminine (great for cocktail attire or semi-formal weddings). The price tag is awesome too!

Hutch Akila Pleated Tiered Gown

I almost ordered this Hutch Akila Pleated Gown but had to stop myself (because what in the world would I wear this to this fall!?). If you have a black-tie or black tie optional (or even just formal) wedding to attend, I am begging you to wear this dress. The purple, red, and pink colors are such a fun statement, but they’re still super appropriate for fall. The button front bodice is super unique too. It’s a show-stopper!

Sandra Plunge Crepe Trumpet Gown

I own this trumpet gown and LOVED wearing it to a formal event a couple of years ago. There’s nothing like feeling amazing in a slim fitting gown with a plunge neckline? The fit is true to size and it comes in a handful of colors. I styled it with strappy heeled sandals and minimal jewelry. Fun earrings would really take this up a notch through! This dress comes in plus sized options as well!

ASTR The Label Floral Keyhole Long Sleeve Midi Dress

The colors of this ASTR The Label dress really caught my eye. I love the green and purple floral mix, and I think it would be especially pretty on someone with dark hair. The neckline is tastefully sexy, and the long sleeves make it a little dressier. And the price tag is under $100, making it a true winner. I would wear this dress with black heeled sandals like these strappy block-heel sandals from Sam Edelman. (I have them and love them.)

Aje Gabrielle Floral Print Linen Blend Minidress

If you’re willing to spend a pretty penny for a STUNNING dress, then I found the one. I can’t get over the fun pattern and colors on this Aje Gabrielle dress. Not only would it be such a special dress to wear to a fun semi-formal or cocktail attire wedding, but you could also wear it for dinners out, date nights, or any other fun event in the fall. I’d wear black or nude strappy heels.

This pattern also comes in a super fun skirt!

Ulla Johnson Florence Plunge Neck Cotton Dress

The reason I love this Ulla Johnson Midi Dress so much is that you could wear it for a wedding, church, a fall event at your child’s school, for family photos, you name it. It’s incredible versatile because of the cotton material (also perfect for a fall beach wedding). The orange hue is such a fun fall color, and the ruffled shoulders are just the right amount of flirty and feminine.
