Fashion Friday: What I’ve Worn Lately

post featured image

It’s finally starting to feel like spring!! I shared some recent spring outfits and some recent purchases I can’t wait to wear!

Hey lovelies!! It’s been a nuts day over here getting ready to fly to Boston tomorrow! I started my day with a lovely 5 mile run with Christian – it was a such a pretty morning for my last run in Winston before the marathon! (I have one more final run on Sunday before the race!!) Work was pretty hectic as I was wrapping up some things and handing off others since I’ll be out of the office for a few days. (Isn’t it ironic how much work it is to leave work and then get caught up when you’re back?)

I’m taking Maizey to the kennel after work and then I’ll spend my evening packing! I have an extensive packing list, organized by day, so that should help. And I’m basically packing every kind of running gear I own just in case the forecast suddenly changes. And man, let’s pray it does – I am not looking forward to that wind and rain!

Anyway, I wanted to share some recent outfits with y’all! Things are getting springier!! I also included a little widget of recent purchases at the bottom of the post so you’ll start to see some of those new items on Instagram!

Quick update on shopping my pictures from Instagram:

Because of all the Facebook drama lately, the way LikeToKnow.it works has changed. There are two ways to shop my Instagram pictures:

  1. If you want to be emailed shopping details, you can screenshot my Instagram pictures and that will trigger an email to be sent to your inbox. My outfit details can no longer be emailed to you just by “liking” one of my photos. (Note: The screenshot-to-email function only works if you sign up for LikeToKnow. It – it’s free to create an account!)
  2. You can shop my outfits directly in the LikeToKnow. It app. When you download the app, follow me – afoodiestaysfit – and you’ll see shopping details for everything I post. (And psssst, I post more fashion pics in the app than I do on Instagram!)

Okay, now onto recent outfits!!

I swear a good chambray shirt is one of the most versatile things you can buy. It goes with everything, including skirts! Mine is from J.Crew and they still sell it 5 years later, so you know it must be a classic (and high quality since mine still looks great!)

Top (on sale!) | skirt (old): similar-ish here | shoes | rug

Loose fitting pants are soooo risky on a shortie like me. They can look incredibly frumpy, but these are amazing! I get so many compliments when I wear them. They are from Boden and Nordstrom now carries Boden as well! (Here’s the link to the pants at Nordstrom if you prefer to shop there.)

Top: similar here | pants | heels (cheaper similar pair here) | earrings

This top is so pretty and fits so well. I love the twist on the back! And it’s under $20 right now! I got an XS.

Top | jeans | shoes | earrings: similar here

Red pants just make me happy. These are my go-to Banana Republic Sloan pants that I have in every color.Top (old): similar here & here | pants | shoes: similar here | necklace

My friend Christian gave me this top since it didn’t fit her well and I LOVE it. I’m so hit and miss on off the shoulder stuff, but this one was so cute. It’s sold out (she got it on clearance at Loft) but I linked some nearly identical ones below.

Recent Purchases

I’ve had major spring fever lately and have been cleaning out my closet and ordering new items that I’ve been eying as they go on sale. Here’s what I recently ordered! J.Crew has had some great sales lately.
