Every summer I get so excited about new swimsuits, and every year, I don’t wear them nearly as much as I plan to…But now that Thomas is taking swim lessons, we’re in the pool much more often, and I’m using that as excuse to keep my swimsuit selection updated. Plus, since we live so close to our pool since we moved (like 2 minutes away), so we’ve already gone more often this summer. AND, we are heading to the beach for a long weekend at the time that I’m publishing this, so I wanted a few new suits for that trip as well.
If you’ve followed me for a while, you know I like to mix high and low fashion finds. I love my swimsuits from Left On Friday, which are pricier, but I also love my Amazon bathing suit finds! I tend to order a handful of affordable swimsuits each year, and then invest in just a couple nicer ones. If I’m ordering a suit that’s on the more expensive side, I lean towards timeless and classic styles. When I want to try new trends and styles (like cutouts), I opt for more affordable options.
In today’s post, I’m focusing on affordable options – these are all swimsuit finds from Amazon. Prime for the win. I ordered the majority of these in early spring, so you may have seen those before, but I’m also including a couple new purchases at the top.
Let’s dive in! (But not really… I’m actually a terrible swimmer. I’m taking notes in Thomas’ lessons.)
The below video shows a few of the Amazon swimsuits in this post.
When I first found this online, I could not believe how similar it looked to designer swimsuits I’ve been eyeing this summer. The patterns (on both sides!) are so classic and elegant, the tie straps were a cherry on top, making this one piece a must-have for me. It is JUST as good in person! The only qualm I have is that the logo is on the front (of both sides), right on the chest. But to be honest, you barely notice it. I am keeping this suit and so excited to wear this weekend at the beach! It comes in three different color ways if this muted pink isn’t your jam.
I ordered a size 2-4.
I ordered this mock neck one piece for our upcoming beach trip and thought it was super unique. It’s practical and provides lots of UV coverage, but it’s also trendy and chic. The sizing is a little wonky– I ordered an XS and it felt almost too short on me length-wise, so I would go up a size. If floral is a little too girly for your taste, the all black option is VERY cool.
I originally ordered this one piece to see how it compared to my very favorite (and more expensive) one piece, and I was pleasantly surprised. It’s not quite as good, but it’s a great budget friendly option. I have this in a size XS. It runs just a little large so size down if you’re on the fence. It has removable cups.
This color block one piece caught my eye because of the colors. I loved the muted orange and brown tones (also comes in other colors!) and the deep v-neck and keyhole cutout which give it interest without showing too much skin. I ordered this in an XS and it runs a little large (or it might just not fit my short torso well). So I ended up sending this back but I’m still keeping my eyes out for a similar once since I loved so much about it.
If I were to pick only one suit to recommend for all occasions, it’s this one piece by La Blanca. It’s tastefully sexy and totally appropriate for the neighborhood pool. The neckline is just low enough to feel feminine, and the ruching on the stomach is flattering, no matter what stage of life you’re in.
I wore this for the entire summer after I had Thomas. I have a size 4, but I’d get a 2 if I were to reorder now. However, even being slightly large, it still looks great. I think it’d just cinch my waist a little more in my current size. I was so excited to see that La Blanca was carried on Amazon (prime shipping, heyo!). Click around on the different color options since some are on sale (like the Navy one linked here). Wait, maybe I need the navy one too…
This flattering one piece is pricer than the rest of the swimsuits in this post, but it’s still sold on Amazon, so I felt justified in including it. 😉 If you’re looking for a high-quality one piece that’s extremely feminine, this is a PERFECT option. I loved it so much, but the XS was a little too small on me; it dug into my hips and pulled on my shoulders. I’d go up one size if you plan to order it. And order quickly since sizes are selling out.
My #1 bikini pick from Amazon this season is this scalloped bikini. I’ve never been a big one-shoulder gal until this year, but now I’m loving it since I’ve found one that stays in place even with a wiggly toddler. The bottom coverage is full, which I appreciate, and the top has good support. I’m wearing an XS in this set, and it fits true to size. For only $32, you can’t beat this set.
This bikini set is a great example of something I likely wouldn’t have splurged on, but was so excited to try from Amazon. I’m drawn to high waisted bikini bottoms like this for a few reasons: they’re more conservative since more skin is covered, they’re usually very flattering since they emphasize the smallest part of my waist, and they’re fun and trendy! It’s not the highest quality suit – the band for hte top doesn’t lie completely flat, but since it’s black you honestly can’t tell. I have a size small, and only $26! It runs pretty true to size.
This pink and purple bikini set was another great Amazon find this spring. The name threw me off just a tad, since it said the bottoms were cheeky, but I found that the coverage was actually pretty full. I love that the shoulder straps are adjustable, and that this swimsuit comes in a MILLION colors. I’m wearing a size small, which fits TTS. I’m trying to justify keeping this one since I feel so confident in it, but it’s just a little too similar to this one I got from Revolve (gifted) and this one I bought from J.Crew.
As you can tell from the suits above, I tend to opt for a bandeau style look most often, but I was drawn to this triangle bikini this year and had to try it. It’s VERY flattering, and the quality surprised me, especially for $33. I’m wearing an XS in this set and it runs a tad bit small, if you’re on the fence with sizing. I ended up sending it back since it dug into my waist just a bit.
I got this orange bikini set last year for a family beach trip, but I still find myself grabbing it a few times a week for swim lessons. I have multiple friends who have ordered and love it too. So if you want a classic, high waisted option that is available in bright colors, this is the one to get. I have a size XS in this suit and it’s held up really well since last year.
That’s all I’ve got for today!
