A round-up of my recent outfits + tips for cute petite fashion!

The weather has been so perfect lately that it’s almost hard to believe it’s mid-November! I’ve got a round up of recent outfits, including some tips for finding flattering petite clothing. (I’m 5’1″!)

Favorite Petite Sweaters

Pardon the wrinkly sweater – I have no idea what I did during the day to make that happen. 🙂 I love this sweater because the sleeves are cropped and the length is a little shorter, which makes it look much more proportional to my frame. It’s not a petite size but the cut makes it feel that way!

I got the sweater from DailyLook, a styling service I LOVE – they’ve been so helpful sending me items that work for me. Petite style can be hard to nail but they do!

This black denim jacket came in a DailyLook box as well! I love it! It’s J.Brand and available at Nordstrom too, but it was much better through DailyLook for some reason. (This post isn’t sponsored by DailyLook hahaha – I just really like it!)

It’s a cropped denim jacket.  Cropped jackets are great for petites and so easy to find right now.

J.Crew’s regular crewneck sweaters fit me really well. I don’t buy petite in this style of sweater since I have broad shoulders relative to my frame. And I always buy cashmere sweaters since I’m allergic to wool and I’ve found theirs last multiple years before they show any signs of wear. (Note: J.Crew doesn’t have this forest green color anymore, but Banana Republic does!) They do, however, have a billion other colors in this sweater that I plan to buy. 🙂

Favorite Petite Leggings

It’s really hard to find leggings that aren’t too long. I got these at my local Pure Barre studio (where I just shop, rather than actually workout ha!) and they’re perfect. If you’re local, I think they still have some!

These are Zella leggings that are too long, but I just fold them up at the ankle since I refuse to pay to have leggings hemmed. 🙂 I really should get a sewing machine…

This Lululemon sweater is way too long for me, but since it’s a casual look, it doesn’t bother me. There ya go – petite fashion advice. If it’s casual, it’s fine to look way too big. FINE. Right?

Oiselle at Nordstrom!!!

Oiselle has seriously stepped up their game lately! This striped shirt is so cute and comfy! I find most of Oiselle’s tops are a bit long for my petite frame, but their new stuff seems to be fitting better. AND ALL PRAISE that Nordstrom carries Oiselle again!!!!classy petite fashionOiselle mockneck top | J.Crew denim jacket | Hudson jeans | Similar: Vince Camuto booties | Similar: Frye hobo bag

I wear Oiselle stuff all the dang time now, when running and when not. (I have a billion pairs of Oiselle Rogas – they’re my favorite running shorts!)

Utah Fashion

I feel like I got an extra long fall because while it was still hot in Winston-Salem in October, the weather was PERFECT in Utah when I visited. And now it’s perfect in Winston-Salem in November! I’m seriously loving this Barbour coat – it’s the same one I took to Ireland and it’s been perfect for fall and layers well when I need extra warmth. There’s only one size left in my exact coat but seriously all of their coats are so cute and timeless. I bought a 4 and it fits a little loosely, but I prefer that so I can layer sweaters in the winter.

On our last day in Park City, we got snow and I was not prepared. Tommy was much more equipped for the situation. Luckily I had bought a Patagonia Nano Puff jacket at the Patagonia store in Park City the day before. I’ve wanted one for YEARS (my bestie Anna will vouch for this) and I’ve worn it NONSTOP since I got it. It’s so lightweight, warm and flattering. I wear an XS in Patagonia.

And this is what I wore in Boone last weekend. This was my first-ever cold shoulder top and I get so many compliments when I wear it! I got it a couple years ago at Bevello and for the life of me can’t find it online. This and this are similar looks and cute too! Oh and this one looks almost identical if you want to drop a casual $900 on a sweater. (Mine is a French Connection sweater if you’re a better googler than me.)

Alright, I’m off to go hit a much-needed yoga class! I hope you have a GREAT weekend ahead!!!
