Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag Dupe Under $20

The famous Lululemon Everywhere Belt bag has taken the world by storm. It’s trending for good reason: it’s the most useful bag for running errands hands-free with kids, looks super cute with athleisure outfits, and it can be worn a variety of ways, just to name a few! It’s one of my favorite purses and I use it even more than some of my pricier bags.

At $38, the Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag isn’t breaking the bank, but it’s almost NEVER in stock, and when it is, it’s very rarely in more than a few colors and sells out in a just a few days. But thanks to good ol’ Amazon, we’ve got a great look for less. And it may be even better than the real thing — I mean it has 16,893 5 five-star reviews.

If the Lululemon belt bag is on your wishlist, you’re in luck! I bought both to compare, and today I’m sharing all the details — the differences between the two, where to find the Amazon lookalike, and how to style it.

Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag Dupe Under $20

First, we need to discuss the best seller, the Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag. If you’re anything like me, you probably thought fanny packs were gone for good. Well, as we see pretty frequently, our old-school trends are coming back in full force, and that includes the fanny pack. Yes, seriously. Think of the belt bag as your fanny pack’s cooler older sister ;).

Lululemon launched their Everywhere Belt bag a few years ago and since then, everyone has gone crazy for them. And can you really blame them? There’s almost nothing better than being hands-free while running errands, especially with kids. However, while the Everywhere Belt bag is technically a fanny pack, it’s not usually worn around your waist, as a waist bag or bum bag.

Fanny Pack Over Shoulder Trend

The trend is to wear your belt bag over your shoulder like a cross-body bag using the adjustable, thick strap, instead of how you’d normally wear a fancy pack. While you can wear it however you’d like, the most popular way to wear it is with the bag itself sitting on the front of your chest, as an accessory of sorts!

Why Is The Lululemon Belt Bag So Popular?

The bag is small, but with two pockets, it fits all of the essentials: a phone, wallet, keys, lip-balm, etc. Since it’s usually worn over the shoulder, it allows you to run your errands hands-free. I personally love that I can wear it under or over a jacket, and sometimes I don’t even take it off while driving or put it in my cart at the grocery store like a normal shoulder bag. It can truly be worn all day.

Lululemon’s belt bag bag retails for only $38, which isn’t as expensive as you may have guessed for Lululemon, but the issue is that sometimes it will be sold out for months, especially the more popular colors. And that’s where the Amazon dupe comes in clutch. Let’s get into the Amazon Belt Bag review.

The Difference Between the Lululemon Everywhere Belt bag and the Amazon Belt Bag

Amazon’s dupe of the Everywhere Belt Bag is strikingly similar to the real thing: same size, same water-resistant fabric, same adjustable strap which features a similar buckle, same pocket styles, etc. The only clear differences are that the Amazon belt bag’s top pocket zipper is metal, while the Lululemon bag has a plastic zipper, and of course, the Lululemon one has the brand’s signature logo. The material also feels a little different but it LOOKS exactly the same and holds up just as well.

I bought the Ododos Unisex Mini Belt Bag on Amazon so that’s dupe I’ll comparing today. I can’t speak to other belt bags from Amazon.

Let’s break it down.

Sizing

The sizes of the two bags is almost identical. Lululemon’s bag is 10.55 x 6.14 x 2.09 inches and the Amazon bag is just barely smaller at 8 x 5 x 2 inches. The difference isn’t really noticeable when comparing them side by side.

The size is perfect for holding all of your daily essentials like your phone, sunglasses, AirPods, lip gloss, hand sanitizer, credit cards, keys, etc. in zippered main compartment. I have also taken a single diaper and a ziplock with wipes. It can fit a surprising amount of stuff, actually.

Straps

Both bags have the same adjustable belt strap with the same buckle. I didn’t compare the straps fully expanded to see if they were the same length, but I was able to wear both bags the same way without an issue.

Pockets

Both bags have the same interior and exterior pockets. This was where I was super impressed: the Amazon bag also had the same back zipper pocket as the Lululemon bag. This pocket was selling point for me with the Lululemon Everywhere Belt bag since I knew I could keep my keys or credit cards in it. I was super impressed when the Amazon bag had the same style pocket. The Ododos Unisex Mini Belt Bag also has interior mesh fabric pockets inside of the main zippered pocket, just like Lululemon. These interior slip pockets are perfect for holding your cards or keys if you prefer to keep them inside the main pocket.

Fabric

Both bags are made with a durable nylon, water-repellent fabric, and they feel almost identical to the touch. The Lululemon one is maybe slightly thicker.

Colors

There are discrepancies between the colors of both bags, but I prefer the variety of colors from Amazon since when the real Everywhere Belt Bag is in stock, it’s usually only available in a few color options. The ODODOS Unisex Mini Belt Bag has over 20 different color options, and I honestly love them all (yes, even the neon green).

How To Wear A Belt Bag

The nice thing about this bag is you can wear it however you’d like! I prefer to wear mine over my shoulder as a crossbody bag. But you can also wear it around your waist as a fanny pack. You could also sling it over one shoulder.  I wear my bag most often when I’m wearing athletic or athleisure outfits. I don’t like to wear it with my more “finished” outfits. So, I prefer a nicer purse for those, but when I need a practical accessory, I wear this.

It’s the perfect thing to wear on walks when you need to carry your house keys and phone. It’s also the perfect accessory for a concert, music festival, or sporting events with small bag policies. Also, it’s best for hiking, golf and especially for navigating the airport. It fits important travel essentials like your boarding passes and passports perfectly. Is The Amazon Belt Bag A Good Lululemon Everyday Belt Bag Dupe?

The Amazon bag is without doubt, a suitable rival. I love all of the color options. The fact that it’s not out of stock all the time, AND the price tag. I will note, however, that the Amazon belt bag does take quite a while to ship. But you’ll see which different colors ship faster than others when you click through them. But it’s worth the wait!
