Growing up, I always loved Father’s Day. I have lots of siblings, so we always had a great time celebrating my dad each year. And now that Tommy is a dad too, it’s even better. With that being said, mark your calendars! Father’s Day 2023 is Sunday, June 18 and coming up quickly. I hope the timing of my Father’s Day Gift Guide post will be the perfect reminder to start your shopping in time for your gifts in time.

When putting together gift guides for guys, I think through the different hobbies that the men in my life enjoy and how I can surprise them with something they’ll love and wouldn’t necessarily buy for himself. Tommy has been golfing his entire life (and he’s VERY good too) so he and I have played together a lot since we started dating and have been married. While golf gear is almost always a good route for guys who golf, it’s hard buying golf “toys” for Tommy since he’s VERY particular and, since his dad is a golf pro, he can get items at a better price. But, I know that clothes that work for the office and the golf course are always a hit with Tommy.

I know lots of guys love to grill, so you’ll see a fun cooking gift in this roundup. And of course, the leather and monogrammed bags and wallets that are always good gifts since they’re things guys like having but may not think to buy for themselves. I’ve tried to include something for all types of fathers.

Alright, enough of the chit chat. Let’s get into the gift ideas!

Father’s Day Gift Guide

YETI Hopper Flip 18 Soft Cooler

This soft cooler from Yeti is super practical. It’s not clunky like most Yeti coolers and it comes in a few different colors. My friends have this and say they use it all the time for their kid’s sporting events, the beach, boat rides, and I think it’d even be great in the car for road trips. In fact, I may need this for myself for my frozen groceries when we head up to Blowing Rock and take some things with us!

Movado Leather Watch

This watch is one of the best gifts I’ve gotten Tommy. He loves it and wears it daily. If you’re looking for a really nice gift, this is it.

USA Sunglasses Strap

I got Tommy this USA sunglasses strap one year and he LOVES it. It’s affordable but the needlepoint looks super high end. They do take some breaking in though and were a bit tight at first.

LAKE Pajama Pants

If you know me, you know I love my LAKE Pajamas. And now, so does Tommy. They make the softest sets in their signature Pima Cotton, and Tommy loves the long pants. Most of the guys in my life wouldn’t buy themselves a nice pair of pajama pants, so these make a wonderful gift. Use the code GiftLAKE for 10% off your order (ends 5/9).

JBL Portable Speaker

This portable speaker is great for clipping to a golf bag, beach bag, or cooler. It’s also a great gift for under $50!

Duck Head Clothing

Tommy’s #1 favorite clothing brand is Duck Head and has been for a while, and after I tagged them a few times, they started sending him the most generous PR boxes I’ve ever seen, which he thinks is pretty epic. (I also find his Instagram try-ons pretty epic and hilarious.) When I was thinking about what to include in the gift guide this year, I had a hard time choosing just one thing from Duck Head, so I’m recommending a few. But honestly, Tommy loves EVERYTHING from there, so you cannot go wrong.

This Circle Patch Twill Hat fits perfectly, looks nice, and will be something the dad in your life gets a ton of use from. He wore it this morning when he had an 6am meeting with his bible study. It comes in tons of colors. He also has this gray rope hat and loves it.

Something Tommy doesn’t have yet that I may buy him is this Leather Scorecard Holder and Yardage Book. It’s genuine leather and handcrafted in the USA.

The DH Leather Belt by Duck Head would also make a great gift. I like the simple, classic look of it. The leather is 100% Horween, which is known for it’s exceptional quality. It’s supposed to age super nicely as well.

And of course, the Gold Chino Shorts are Tommy’s favorite shorts in the world. He loves the fit and feel, and I love the classic style.

A Framed Photo

I’m actually giving Tommy a framed photo this Father’s Day, and I’ve been SO impressed with everything I’ve read about FrameBridge. They will print and frame your digital image for you, or you can mail them your image or artwork. They have SO many options and sizes.

Carhartt Duck Canvas Car Seat Organizer

I got this Carhartt seat organizer for my brother for Christmas this past year. It’s the perfect gift for a guy who keeps tools, fishing gear, or any miscellaneous stuff in his car at all times. It’s practical and manly and only $40!

Tecovas Leather Duffle Bag

This leather weekend bag is what I got for Tommy last year and he uses it for every weekend trip we take to Boone and Pinehurst. I looked at dozens of weekender bags before finding this and it was so perfect that I even paid expedited shipping to get it on time last year. It’s the perfect blend of handsome and durable. AND the company is amazing! They use a whole team of artisans (and 200 steps) to make a single cowboy boot…by HAND. And you cannot beat their customer service. I love buying from brands like this.

Portable Pizza Oven

This is one of my favorite gift ideas this year: a portable pizza oven. If the father in your life loves to cook, I’m sure they’d be thrilled to try this out with their kids and friends. I love that it’s portable and can easily be stored in the garage or basement. Invite me over for pizza if you get it, k?

A Book about Dad

If you’re looking for a gift to give from your children, this book is perfect. You can personalize the book with dad’s face and name, making the story all about him. So sweet!

A Gift Card

Not as exciting to give, but VERY exciting to get. I love to receive gift cards because cash or a check generally get saved or spent on something practical. A gift card forces me to spend money on myself for something fun. If your dad loves to travel, get them an AirBnB gift card (these make great wedding gifts too actually). That way you’re actually giving them an experience too! Lowes and REI are great options as well.

What are some of the best Father’s Day gifts you’ve given or heard of?
