One of the most common comments I get from people when they learn about my workout and eating habits is, “Oh I just don’t have time to workout and eat healthy.” Sometimes they’ll ask how I do it, but the assumption is that they just don’t have the time so they may as well not try. I understand there are phases of life that you really just don’t have time for consistent workouts (I imagine new moms have a doozy of a time!), but in the normal day to day grind of life, we all have the same 24 hours. We are all very busy. I’ve had jobs working upwards of 80-90 hours a week and still managed to train for a marathon while working, take healthy lunches to work and make dinner at home. And I would argue that eating healthy takes just as much time–and sometimes less time–than eating processed, unhealthy food or takeout. It’s just a matter of creating the habit.

I’ve been consistently working out and maintaining healthy habits for over 10 years since beginning my journey to health. There have been career changes, a cross-country move, heart breaks, family trials, work travel, vacations, crazy busy social calendars, dating, being a dog mom, running lots of races and just simply running around doing life. But amidst all that, my health has always been the foundation that has kept me functioning.

And I really wish that for all of you – that despite what life throws at you, that healthy habits are a grounding force in your life. And if it feels like you just can’t get started or you just can’t get habits to stick when you do try to start, I’ve got some tips for you. I put together the advice I’ve shared for years with friends, family and blog readers who have emailed me directly asking for help into an ebook that I’m thrilled to share with you. Whether you are just starting the path to health or are looking to add additional healthy habits into your life, I hope you’ll find it useful.

Click here or the image below to get your copy of the eBook! And then let me know what you think – I’d love feedback on what you found useful or what you wish I’d covered in more depth! Cheers to healthy habits!

    1. Great post! I’ll definitely buy and read your e-book this weekend! I love when people use the “I just don’t have time” excuse. You’re right- it’s all about creating healthy habits!

      Have a great weekend!

    2. As a mama, working out/healthy lifestyle is always at the top of list! I try to schedule it as a “self-care appointment”!

    3. I read a book about seeing not 24 hours a day but 168 hours a week. Much easier to see the amount of time you have, and way easier to justify 4-5 hours a week of movement when you’re dealing with 168. Hope that too helps!!!
