;
I’ve blogged about Target® C9 workout clothes before and how much I love them (and the affordable prices), so I was more than willing to partner with them again to try out some of their new pieces.
I was given a $50 budget and I was able to get three pieces for about that! Such a steal — especially now that I’ve tried them out and can vouch for their greatness. 🙂
I’m pretty picky about running shorts. They need to fit comfortably in the waist, have storage for a key, have a stretchy liner (I’ve learned the stretchy aspect is KEY and rare), be long enough and cut well to cover the parts of my legs I’m a little more self-conscious about, and not be too expensive. So, yeah, it’s a tough assignment for any shorts to complete. But I would give these shorts an A-. They seriously are AWESOME, especially for the price. The only thing I would change is just a teensy bit more length, but it’s not a deal breaker at all. They’re definitely longer and cut in a more flattering way than most running shorts I’ve tried recently.
And the long-sleeved cotton tee is great too! It’s soooo soft. I wanted a more fitted, long-sleeve running top since all of mine are too-big-and-too-baggy freebies that I’ve gotten at races, so I was happy when this arrived and it was a bit more fitted. It comes in lots of fun colors, too. When I’m doing workouts at the gym, I’ve been putting this on as I head out of the gym, and it’s so cozy and keeps me warm. (It’s also great for running in cooler temps.)
Back to the shorts – they’re so cute with the gray and blue colorblocking. (Pardon the wrinkles; I pulled them right out of the package and tried them on. I’ve since washed them and they don’t stay wrinkled like that.)
The gray is an on-trend heather gray and there’s that must-have pocket I told you about.
The raglan sleeve top is also a winner! I have another top like this with the half zipper that I wear all.the.time and I wanted another one. I was so happy that it fits like a dream – not too tight and not too baggy, super soft like the performance tee, and I love the rich periwinkle color that was even better in person than it looked online.
The ventilation up top is an especially nice touch.
So I’m three for three on all the things I got from the Target® C9 collection this time. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I am SO impressed with the Target® C9 items! They fit great, they’re cute, and they’re really comfortable for all my workouts (running and lifting weights in particular), or just for lounging.
So, bottom line: would I spend my own money on these workout clothes? ABSOLUTELY. I’m planning to get another pair of the shorts when the black ones are back in stock or if I see them in the store.

I love the little pocket on those shorts! And the blue color!
Target is a serious danger zone for me. I could spend all my money there and I love their workout clothes too!
I buy a lot of C9 workout gear and love it. They’ve lasted me a long time. I’m just now seeing wear on my crops after at least 3+ years of having them. And for $20ish that’s not bad at all. Love the colors of everything you picked out.
I really love all 3 of those pieces!! I’m going to check them out! I’ve had good luck with the C9 line, too, and some of my older stuff could use replacing.
