I am SO excited for Thanksgiving next week. Never mind that I haven’t planned a menu (and I don’t think Tommy’s mom has either) or found a Turkey Trot, which I definitely want to run this year. I’m just excited for it to feel like the holidays. It’s been so chaotic lately with so.many.house.problems that I’m ready to relax a little, sleep-in and not have a schedule!
It’s been a while since I’ve shared outfits on the blog, so I’ve got a round-up today, including some Thanksgiving outfit ideas. I post many outfits on Instagram throughout the week, so follow along there to see what I’m wearing more often than it appears on the blog. And if you want to shop my outfits directly from Instagram, here’s how!
Let me know if you have questions about LIKEtoKNOW.it! I know it can be a litlte confusing at first. I also post all my Instagram outfits under the Shop menu > Shop My Instagram.
Before we get into the outfits, I wanted to call out a few of my favorite places that are having sales since you can get a lot of what I’m wearing in this post at a discounted price right now.
Okay, now onto the outfits!
I have been wearing this striped shirt non-stop since I got it. It’s a little bit heavier weight than a t-shirt, which is perfect for cooler weather. And the jean jacket is one of my favorite layering pieces. It goes with so many things and is surprisingly warm.

I like to be super casual on the weekends but still feel somewhat put together for grocery shopping, errands, etc. This twist top is one of my favorites for the weekend. (I blogged about here with my favorite athleisure and here with my fall fashion must-haves.)
I recently ordered a number of things from J.Crew, J.Crew Factory and Banana Republic. I’m a compulsive purger and when the temperatures dropped, I realized I didn’t have many warm tops or cardigans. While I don’t shop often, when I do I tend to order a bunch at once since it’s just easier for me to make decisions that way. After living in a tiny apartment for 3 years and moving 3 times in 3 years, I got pretty ruthless with cleaning out my closet very regularly, but I often find I overpurge juuuust a little. (I’m SO happy to have a bigger closet now!) I liked most of what I ordered, and I think these looks would be great Thanksgiving outfits since nothing is too tight! 🙂
This sweater is so comfy and so soft AND it passed the itch-test. (I get soooo itchy with most sweaters and can’t wear anything with wool.)

I had high hopes for this sweater blazer, but it didn’t fit me very well – I should have gone for a petite! But, the loafers are a definitely keeper. They are GORGEOUS in person.
This sweater is the prettiest color green. I love emerald colored tops for the holiday season. And this sweater passed the itch test too! (And because I always get asked how I curl my hair – here’s a video!)
I love love love this skirt and turtleneck together. It’s such a simple look, but the stretchy waist of the skirt is really comfy and the shoes really bring it together. I love the comfort of a block-heel pump and you’ll see these go with so many outfits! Oh! This picture reminds me that I need to pick up my dry cleaning! I was too lazy to iron this skirt and I still haven’t unpacked my steamer…I’m honestly not quite sure where it is.
I really wanted to love this long cardigan, but ultimately I sent it back. Long cardigans very often overwhelm my petite frame (I’m 5’1″) and if I don’t absolutely love something, it doesn’t get a place in my closet. If long cardigans are your thing, this one was really pretty and warm. I loved the burgundy but it comes in other colors too.

I wore this when we grabbed dinner last Friday at BLL Rotisserie Chicken, which is a low-key restaurant with amazing food. This outfit is one of my favorites – it’s really comfortable but still feels put together.
I’ll probably end up wearing either the last outfit with the vest or the green skirt for Thanksgiving – I’ll make a game-time decision, depending on whether I feel like going casual or dressing up a little!
We were always very casual growing up, and I’ve mostly kept that vibe as an adult. But once in a while, I like to get a little dressier. Something about wearing heels while making a pie – it just makes me feel very domestic. 😉

Cute outfits! Our Thanksgiving is very casual, which I love! Jeans and sweaters. Woop! For clothes, I don’t even own an iron at the moment. Though I should probably get one. I try to buy clothes that don’t need ironing. I’ll take things to the dry cleaner once in awhile (most of my clothes are machine wash though). And I do have a steamer that I love! 🙂
We JUST bought an iron…but so far Tommy has been the only one to use it! 😉
Hi! Reviews of that vest say it runs small, did you size up in it?
I got my usual XS. It’s a little small but not horrible. I think a S would have looked a little too big on me, but I’m very petite! (5’1″)
Hi Teri! You look so great – I love your style so much! Every outfit is perfect. I’m so happy for you and Tommy ??. Happy Thanksgiving!
