Life has been full of some big changes over here….including a new job! I’ll still be in the banking industry doing marketing but with a different company. I really enjoyed my time with my last employer and learned a lot there, but I’m super excited about this new gig! I have a few days off in between jobs and I’m enjoying the downtime in the “high country” of NC.

It’s been rainy and cloudy for the most part, but I enjoyed some gorgeous weather and views tonight! And good wine.

This is the wine I had tonight. It’s AWESOME. Go find it.

OK, back to the scenery.

The air is so crisp and cool, a welcome reprieve from the sticky humidity in Winston-Salem. I’ve been wearing jeans and long-sleeves!! In July!!

Yesterday I slept in until 8:30, lounged around the condo, drinking tea and reading The Goldfinch, before heading to the Y for a workout. I did this interval workout on the treadmill followed by some intense weight training. I’m getting seriously sore tonight. I went really deep on my squats (below the knee) by standing on elevated platforms so I could drop the dumbbell I was holding below my feet. I also did some side lunges. Yowza.

After my workout, I headed to the outlets in Blowing Rock. I took the scenic way there and had to stop in the middle of the road (making sure no one was coming behind me!) to snap this picture. It was just too gorgeous! I felt like I was driving in a car commercial.IMG 6980

I want some blazers for work so I hit up J.Crew and Banana Republic.

I got the white J.crew blazer and the pinstriped Banana Republic blazer, but passed on the polka dots. Each blazer was only $35! I love outlet clearance deals! I also snagged this orange top. I never buy orange, but this baby was $5. I own a lot of these J.Crew Vintage T’s and love them.

I also tried on two pairs of white jeans and YIKES. I am not cut out for wearing white denim apparently. They looked awful on me. I’m still hoping I can find a pair that works, but considering I rarely wear denim in the summer, maybe it’s not worth the search and money for a white pair.

Alright, I’m off to wind down for bed and ponder life’s mysteries. 😉 Hope you’re having a great week!

      • YES, please! I’ll actually be in Charlotte 3-4x a month with my new job. So I can come take your classes more often!! Yay! Or just meet up for wine and Sullie walk. 😉 xoxo

    2. Oh my goodness, congratulations, and all of the best luck in your new job Teri, I know you will be amazing!

Ok, I love that outlet, we go there every Thanksgiving and it is never Black Friday totally crazy and even after lunch, they still have a ton of stuff haha!
I am headed out to Santa Fe and Crested Butte next week and I CANNOT WAIT! Ahhh you just got me excited again haha!

    3. Congratulations on the new gig! That’s great that you have a little getaway before you start. What a beautiful area!!! I love the blazers you got! I’m willing to bet you’ll be the best dressed at your new job! 😉

    4. i feel the same way about white denim – i try them on all the time and fail. i am also about 4 sizes bigger than you, so i had just credited it to that…but glad someone else is in the same boat. love the blazers!
